Here’s a dose of random news bites we have been following over the past couple days on your my favorite upcoming device, the BlackBerry Storm.

• There’s paperwork around Manhattan that states Verizon’s non-subsidized pricing for the Storm is $549.  They are offering a $50 rebate, at release.  So, we are talking $499 unsubsidized.  Pricey, yup, but all Smartphones are that way before subsidies.  We are still wondering what the 2-year contract pricing will bring it too.
• Best Buy starting taking pre-orders today for the Storm.  They are reserving it for a refundable $50 deposit.  This gives me the thought that demand will be huge for this thing.  Think about it, there’s no announced release date, no confirmed pricing.  All that, and Best Buy is still doing a $50 pre-order.  That definitely translates into sell-out, more demand than supply.
• Oh, and the item we reported yesterday.  Rumors from a Verizon employee say “a month” till the Storm get’s released.  Kids, that’s December.
