  • Election Day Rock Band DLC Announced

Posted on October 23rd, 2008 Shawn No comments

Wow, there is no shortage of news on the rhythm game front. We just got word that on November 4th (that’s voting day kids), we will receive Rock Band DLC from none other than Presidents of the United States of America (known by fans as Pot Usa).

We hear it will initially be exclusive to Xbox Live (though will likely be available on PSN within two days of release). It will consist of a three-pack of Pot Usa’s songs, featuring “Dune Buggy”, “Ladybug” and “Feather Pluckn”.

    Pretty cool, I guess.

As always, we have their MP3′s available NOW in our store.

UPDATE: This is still just rumormill.  Harmonix has not made the official announcement, but the band has posted it on their website.  We’d link to their site, but our Info Security guys are telling us their site has been hacked.  Hmmm…

    • No Kitty? No Peaches? I’m a little confused on the song choices, to be honest. Still, this is pretty awesome to be releasing these guys on election day!

    • Good point about Peaches. That’s a good song. Haven’t heard it in a long time.

    • I’m sorry, but this has NOT been announced by Harmonix. This was put up on the PotUSA website, but Harmonix themselves said that in specific regards to this to not take any announcement from anyone other than Harmonix as official, even if it is the band releasing the information.

Until Harmonix says it is releasing these, I wouldn’t post this as a true announcement.

    • Sounds good, Glenn. Thanks for the info. Let me ask, do you think PotUSA will or will not release on Nov 4? I’m betting on yes.

For now, we will call this rumor…but the last unannounced DLC (Motley Crue) came true on the date that the band announced.

    • Rumor or not….ehh…..not much to get excited about in my opinion. If they wanted to get political, they should’ve released Eat the Rich (Aerosmith) and Taxman (Beatles).
