….a photo of the drums for Rock Band 2.Oh crap!!!! Looks like I will be buying Special Edition after all. (FYI, the drums can be used as a standalone electronic drum kit).

Oh man….it is officially on…..
That thing looks crazy…..it looks like 3rd part peripheral though…i wonder how it will translate to the game….don’t know if i see them adding colors/lines to the drum ‘frets’ on the game so how would the ‘blue’ cymbal work….

Yes, after reading further, I see that the picture above is a 3rd party peripheral. The RB2 official set looks a lot like the RB1 kit, but now has inputs to buy additional cymbals.
So, I’m still thinking that I will pre-order just the game and by my peripherals separately. I’m thinking this Ion kit or the Mad Catz kit will be mine….of course after paying $150 for it. But I have been wanting to buy an electronic drum kit….and actually think the “boss” will give me the thumbs up on this, since it’s much cheaper than the $5k kit I was looking at. CAN’T WAIT!!!!
